Privacy policy
Hadithly can be used without an account. Hadithly is operated by the developer identified as the seller on its store listing. This policy explains what we collect when you use Hadithly, why it is needed, and how you can delete it.
Data we collect
If you create an account, we collect your email address, account identifier, optional name and username, and authentication records. Hadithly stores your chosen languages, notification preferences, private bookmarks, favorites, notes, reading position, translation proposals, and report reasons.
If you enable notifications, we store a push notification token and device platform. If you buy Hadithly Pro, we process your product identifier, purchase status, subscription expiry, and entitlement history. Apple or Google handles payment-card details. Hadithly does not receive them.
Our service providers may process device information, IP addresses, request metadata, and security logs needed to operate and protect their services.
How we use data
We use this data to authenticate your account, sync private reading data, deliver requested notifications, provide subscription access, enforce AI translation limits, review translation proposals, prevent abuse, answer support requests, and keep the service secure.
Hadithly has no ads. We do not sell personal data or use it for cross-company tracking.
AI translations
When you request an AI translation, Hadithly sends the hadith text and target language to Google Gemini through the Hadithly backend. A community proposal can also include the proposed translation. These requests do not include your email address or profile name. AI text is labeled and is not presented as authoritative religious guidance.
Service providers
Hadithly uses Clerk for authentication, Convex for application data and backend functions, RevenueCat for subscription status, Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications, Google Gemini for requested AI translations, and Sunnah.now as a hadith content provider. Apple and Google also process purchases made through their stores. Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy commitments.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and private app data while your account exists. You can delete the account in Hadithly under Settings, Account, Delete account. Deletion removes the Clerk identity and private Hadithly records. It anonymizes generated translation and audit references that must remain to preserve service integrity.
Account deletion does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. The stores and RevenueCat may retain transaction records for fraud prevention, accounting, legal, and tax obligations. Manage or cancel the subscription in your store account.

Security and international processing
Hadithly uses HTTPS in transit and limits production access to the services needed to operate the app. Providers may process data outside your country. Their contractual and legal safeguards apply to that processing.
Your choices
You can read without an account, decline notifications, restore or cancel store purchases, edit your account details, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data.
